1975 – Founder Jerry Funk invested $85 in an old key-punch machine. Since then, Key Services has grown into a multimillion-dollar business that repairs, sells and buys computer equipment. 1990 – Expansion from buying and selling computer equipment to repairing. Revenues reach $4 million a year with 25 employees. 2001 – Expanding operation to Minnesota. Minnesota has many resources for the P.O.S., RISC 6000, P.C. and server product lines. Key is hiring a number of different veteran sales and customer support representatives. 2007- Additions in the Management, Sales and Engineering areas have better positioned the company to meet the technology and service challenges that lie ahead. With a focus on POS users the company has entered new markets that provide avenues for growth. |
