Key Services CEO Michelle Deal attends TUCK-WBENC Executive Program

The TUCK School of Business at Dartmouth developed the TUCK-WBENC program as an all-encompassing learning experience focusing on increasing the competitive advantage and robustness of business.Tapping into the power of collaboration, attendees form a learning community that provides support, expertise, and the opportunity for strategic alliances long after the program ends. 

"The program helped reinforce what our leadership team had already been acting on and helped clarify our strategic direction," said Michelle Deal.

Key Services CEO Michelle Deal Receives 2014 LACE Award from Greater Women’s Business Council

On November 14, 2014, Key Services CEO Michelle Deal received the 2014 Trailblazer III Award presented by the Greater Women’s Business Council (GWBC). This award is presented to GWBC Certified Women Business Enterprise (WBE) owners by annual revenue category. Each business owner honored exemplifies leadership, creativity and innovation. Candidates for the award are evaluated based on Job Creation, Business Growth and Development, and Overall Business Performance.  Moreover, these winners are pillars in their community, contributing their time and talent with a proven track record of mentoring, partnerships, volunteerism and WBE to WBE spend.

“It’s an honor to be recognized alongside so many extraordinary professional women who are all working together to support and empower women-owned business enterprises,” said Michelle Deal.

Key Services Featured in Women's Enterprise USA Magazine

Key Services recently attended the WBENC 2014 National Conference and Business Fair. Key Services president Michelle Deal was joined by Kate Lisska, VP of Sales, and Tony Dolphin, VP of Business Development. Michelle Deal commented, "It was a wonderful opportunity to meet other women business executives as well as supplier diversity leaders from across the country. However, the highlight of the event was definitely being featured as a Woman Business Executive (WBE) Extraordinaire in the WE USA magazine. It was exciting to share Key Services' history and vision for continued success."

Key Services CEO Michelle Deal Receives Executive Scholarship

Key Services' President Michelle Deal recently received the 2014 Dorothy B. Brothers Scholarship to attend the Tuck-WBENC (Women's Business Enterprise National Council) Executive Program.  The Executive Program, sponsored by IBM, is an intensive, five-day program focused on helping women executives increase the competitive advantage of their businesses.  Limited to 50 participants, the highly selective program was developed in conjunction with the Tuck School of Business at Dartmouth College, the oldest graduate school of business in the country.  "I am thrilled to the have the opportunity to work collaboratively with other women business executives to refine strategies, develop long-term relationships, and continually improve Key Services as a company and myself as a leader," said Michelle Deal. 

Key Services Receives WBENC Re-Certification

On June 30, 2014, Key Services received national re-certification as a Women’s Business Enterprise by the Greater Women’s Business Council (GWBC), a regional certifying partner of the Women’s Business Enterprise National Council (WBENC).

WBENC’s national standard of certification implemented by the GWBC is a meticulous process including an in-depth review of the business and site inspection. The certification process is designed to confirm the business is at least 51% owned, operated and controlled by a woman or women.

The Women’s Business Enterprise National Council is the nation’s largest third party certifier of businesses owned and operated by women in the United States. WBENC is a resource for the more than 700 US companies and government agencies that rely on WBNC’s certification as an integral part of their supplier diversity programs.

GWBC Mentor Protege Program

Michelle Deal, President of Key Services, recently completed the Greater Women’s Business Council (GWBC) Mentor Protégé Program. The program works through a Mentor Advisory Board comprised of women business enterprises and corporate supporters who have demonstrated success in their own businesses and want to pay-it-forward by helping other women-owned businesses.

Michelle Deal reflects on the experience by saying, “The GWBC mentors have been an invaluable resource for me. They have offered insight and direction by helping identify growth opportunities for Key Services as well as the strategic plans we will implement to get there. Key Services will definitely benefit from the knowledge I gained as well as the relationships I have established. This experience will help me position Key Services for long term growth.”

Key Services Wins Supplier Spotlight Contest

Key Services was recently selected as the May winner of the monthly Supplier Connection Contest. Supplier Connection, a free, cloud-based community powered by IBM, is committed to helping small business grow by connecting them with the supply chains of member companies. Key Services’ win meant being featured on the home page of Supplier Spotlight, the blog of Supplier Connection.

Michelle Deal, Key Services’ President comments, “We were excited to have our friends across social media channels reach out to vote for us and about the exposure Supplier Spotlight is providing our organization. We appreciate Supplier Connection’s support of small business.”

Key Services made the TBJ's 'Largest Woman-Owned Companies' list at #12. Amazing women in the Triad!

The list description cut off the general business description of electronics repair and maintenance services. -Key offers repair of integrated touch display systems (POS systems), processors, barcode scanners and mobile computers as well as component level board repair and ball grid array (BGA) re-work.
